Borea (Zone 3) is the frozen northern zone: snowy forests, pine taiga, icy plains, mountains and deep ice caves. It’s the coldest region of Orbis and strongly linked to the water element in the form of snow, ice and rivers.
Passive & friendly mobs
Even in the harsh cold, Borea has a lot of non-offensive wildlife:
- Bison, rams, mice, tetrabirds and woodpeckers, which populate forests and plains.
- Fauns, a more mystical but not necessarily hostile race.
Most of these will ignore you unless attacked, adding to the feeling of a wild but natural taiga.
Bosses & major threats
Borea also hides some of the most intimidating creatures in Hytale:
- The Outlanders, including Outlander Warriors, Rangers, Priests, Cultists, Chiefs and the massive Outlander Colossus, turning their villages into mini-raid zones.
- The Ice Dragon, a large dragon-class monster associated with Zone 3.
- Hostile monsters like Yetis and polar bears, which can be very dangerous compared to normal wildlife.
